Thirty years of building, advising, and backing software companies.
Tom Wisniewski is a full-time seed-stage angel investor and Partner at RosePaul Ventures. Before investing became the work, he built and turned around companies for three decades.

Tom began his career as a programmer in the IT organization at Morgan Stanley, then moved into investment banking. In 1993 he joined Mitchell Madison Group, a management-consulting spinoff of McKinsey & Company. Over the next seven years he helped grow the firm from a startup into an organization of more than 1,000 professionals across 15 offices worldwide, before it was acquired by USWeb/CKS in 2000.
He then joined Walker Digital, the internet-invention lab founded by Jay Walker (the entrepreneur behind Priceline). From there Tom spent roughly a decade as an advisor to venture-capital and private-equity firms — evaluating investments and leading portfolio-company turnarounds. Sitting on that side of the table, he saw first-hand why some companies compound and others quietly fail.
That experience became RosePaul Ventures, the proprietary investment fund for Tom and the RosePaul Investments family office, where he now invests full-time in seed-stage software companies. Along the way he co-founded Newark Venture Partners — a $50M venture fund and accelerator in downtown Newark — and served as its Managing Director. He is also a Board Director at New York Angels, one of the most active early-stage angel groups in the country.
