Thirty years of building, advising, and backing.

Tom started as a programmer at Morgan Stanley, moved into investment banking, then joined Mitchell Madison Group — the McKinsey spinoff — in 1993. Over seven years the firm grew to more than 1,000 people across 15 offices before USWeb/CKS acquired it in 2000.

From there he went to Walker Digital, Jay Walker’s internet incubator, then spent a decade advising venture capital and private equity firms on portfolio turnarounds — seeing, from the inside, why companies work and why they don’t.

That experience became RosePaul Ventures, his family-office fund for full-time seed investing. Along the way he co-founded Newark Venture Partners, a $50M fund and accelerator in downtown Newark, where he served as Managing Director.
